Antique Wedgwood Ironstone Flow Blue Pitcher, c. 1850

A rare find! Mid-1800s ironstone pitcher manufactured in England by Josiah Wedgwood in the 'Chapoo' pattern. An excellent example of flow blue transferware, this pattern features florals and Chinoiserie motif panels with a geometric pattern handle.  This would have originally been accompanied by a matching basin for washing up at the vanity.

Stamped on bottom with ribbon insignia, inscribed 'Ironstone, Chapoo, J. Wedgwood.'

In excellent antique condition; no visible chips or cracks.
